| New Colour modes give you the power to easily express your vision in more subtle or dramatic ways. In addition to the previously available Standard, Monochrome (B&W) and Sepia modes, you can now choose Natural mode for more true-to-life colour reproduction or Vivid mode for accurate representation of vibrant primary colours (deep blue, bright red and green) like those found in negatives. |

Flexible Spot AF |
| Focusing on your subject, even in crowded scenes, and achieving desired results is easy with Sony's Flexible Spot AF feature. Just center the spot on your subject, press the shutter button halfway, recompose the scene and shoot. Even small subjects and narrow spaces are automatically captured in sharp focus. |

Burst mode for continuous shooting |
| Burst mode comes in handy when shooting fast-moving subjects. With a single press of the shutter button, Burst mode (Standard Continuous Shooting) captures 100 images at VGA size, 5 images at 7 megapixels (DSC-H5), or 7 images at 6 megapixels (DSC-H2). Multi Burst records 16 frames in sequence as a still image file and lets you select the shutter interval, which is convenient when capturing sports action.

Self-timer for delayed shutter release |
| A built-in self-timer provides two selectable modes for automatic shutter release. During flash photography, you can prevent any chance of camera shake by placing the camera on a stable surface and using the 2-Second Timer mode. When you want to appear with friends in group pictures, use the 10-second setting. |
